The practice of cardiovascular medicine is increasingly affected by legislators and regulators. While the American College of Cardiology (ACC) is vigilant in its efforts to ensure strong practices and promote patient access, it is the first-hand stories from practices that ultimately make the most difference with policy makers.

The PINNACLE Network makes it easy to be involved and stay up to date with ACC Advocacy efforts at the state and national level. The College’s “Advocate” newsletter provides alerts and the latest tips and techniques on practice management. It covers the major battles on Capitol Hill including Medicare reimbursement, health care reform and the ability of cardiovascular professionals to provide in-office medical imaging services. In addition, it provides updates on coding changes and regulatory maneuvers and the College’s recommendations on how to make the best of them.

In short, if the ACC is out there advocating on your behalf, practices will hear about it here!
